Vaginal health is important for women’s felling of sexual wellness, but is a limited openly knowledged or discussed aspect of wmen’s health.Vaginal laxity is a poorly understood symptom of pelvic floor dysfunction. Vaginal laxity refers to the looseness of the vagina, which is a very common condition. Around 75% of women are suffering from vaginal laxity. It is the slackening of the tissues at the entrance of the vagina, the loss of muscle tone reduces vaginal sensations during the intercourse and lower the sexual satisfaction for both partners. The vaginal laxity can cause a negative influence on female sexual function, body image and self esteem. The condition is poorly recognised and under-reported.
Symptoms
Symptoms of vaginal laxity include the loss of sensation during the intercourse, decreased sexual satisfaction, inadequate lubrication, urinary incontinence, suffering from pain during the intercourse, feeling vagina became widened or lose.
Causes
There are different causes for vaginal laxity, such as: notably and menopause, which are hormonal changes, childbirth, genetic, and lifestyle. Pregnancy and vaginal delivery can lead to trauma and stretching, which can lead to the loss of vaginal tightness.
