Facial veins
Facial veins, also known as spider veins, are the enlarged blood vessels that happen just under the surface of the skin, they can be classified by their size, depth and place they were found. Facial veins usually ranged from very superficial capillaries to large bulging subdermal veins. It is common for anyone at any age to have facial veins.
Symptoms
Facial veins have the red, web shaped appearance, they are commonly found on the face or legs, but can also occur anywhere on the body. They do no harm to your health except the aesthetic condition.
Causes
Facial veins are caused by the broken blood vessels. There are many factors that can increase the possibility for you to develop facial veins.
For example the genes, if your family members have had facial veins, it is very likely for you to have them too.
Another example is the continuous exposure to the sun can enlarge the blood vessels and pull them closer to the surface of the skin.
The extreme changes in the weather can theoretically affect the circulation in the body, causing the skin of your face to flush. The blood vessels may burst, resulting facial veins.
Unforeseen severe pressure change can also develop small blood vessels to burst.
If you are pregnant, your hormonal changes, which can also cause the blood vessels to be broken, the excess blood can result in extra pressure in the capillaries, which make them susceptible to dilating.
