The injection usually requires only 20-30 minutes.

The needle used for facial injections is extremely fine, which will not result in any obvious pain – nothing more than the bite of a mosquito. If you are sensitive to pain, the localised anaesthetic can be applied to the target area.

After the injection, most people will only be left with the pinprick of the needle that will disappear in the hours after injection. There is also the possibility of light bruising. If the masseter muscle is over strong, swelling may occur around the injected area. After the procedure, you might feel slight pain or weakness when chewing hard foods. But these symptoms will disappear after 1-2 weeks in most cases.

Under normal circumstances with accurate injections, the procedure will not result in stiff expressions. If the procedure is not carried out carefully or unsafe products are injected too much, the facial expressions will be affected.

The results are not immediate, usually requiring 3-7 days after injection to show their effects. After 4-5 weeks, the final results will become visible.

The results usually last 4-6 months. Because we are continually using our masseter muscles to eat and speak, the muscle will eventually return to its original size.

Jaw slimming injections cannot create permanent effects. Therefore, you may choose to top-up the Botox once its effects have begun to fade. When the masseter muscle resumes normal function, it will only gradually return to its original size and will not suddenly become stronger or bigger. If you like to eat hard foods, the masseter muscle will develop more quickly.

We use botulinum in our injections – a kind of toxic protein. As a medical product, it has been greatly diluted and has only minor toxicity with over 30 years of use in the medical industry. We only use the American Allergan Botox, which is the first botulinum product to pass certification by the FDA, thereby guaranteeing your safety and health.

After the injection, you may feel some pain or weakness in the masseter muscle, especially when chewing hard foods. After 2-4 weeks, this sensation will fade. You will feel the masseter muscle becoming smaller over this period, and the results will be most visible after 4-5 weeks.

After the injection, you can reduce the ingested amount of nuts, gum or other hard foods that require a lot of movements of the masseter, which will help to extend the jawline slimming effects.

For at least 6 hours after the injection, please do not touch the injected area or wet it. After this period, you can resume normal cleaning and skincare. For the two weeks after, please avoid massaging or rubbing the injected areas.

Please avoid lying flat for 4 hours after the injection and maintain an upright position of the upper body. 

For 2-3 days after the treatment, please avoid drinking or smoking. 

For 1 week after the injection, please avoid taking aspirin, vitamin E or other similar medicines. These medicines might increase the likelihood of bleeding or bruising in the injected area. 

Slight redness and swelling, localised tightness and perhaps bruising may follow the procedure. Everyone is different, so there will be different levels of severity, while the recovery period will also vary.  

Avoid using the sauna, spas or other extreme temperature treatments for 2 weeks after the treatment.
