Large Pores
Basic pores are the small openings on the skin for sebum and others to pass through in order to reach the skin’s surface. The large pores are the ones that appear dilated and can be seen by naked eye. In order to avoid pores enlargement, it is important for your skin to maintain clean and hydrated. The best way to treat large pores is by understanding their possible causes, and by unclogging pores through exfoliation and peeling.
Symptoms
There is no objective measurement to determine if a pore is considered as large or not. However, if your skin has excessive secretion of oil (oily skin), uneven facial texture, or increased amount of visible blackheads, you are more likely to have large pores. Large pores are often discovered on the nose and cheeks.
Causes
Your pore size mostly depends on your genes, but could also be affected by other factors. The most common factors of large pores are high sebum secretion, lack of skin elasticity, chronic acne, ageing, hormonal differences, sun exposure, smoking, radiodermatitis and vitamin A deficiency.
