What does Harmony XL Pro Laser Layering treatment involve?
Your journey with us will start with a detailed consultation in which we will access your skin, discuss your concerns and understand your needs. Depending on your skin and your aesthetic goals, we will design a personalised treatment plan for you. Your Harmony XL PRO Laser Layering treatment usually will be combined with several laser applicators by Harmony XL PRO. For example, if you would like to improve the lines and wrinkles and pigmentation of the skin, we might combine ClearLift, DPL and NIR in one treatment, which to give you the optimal result you desire. Each session of combined treatments may be different as we monitor your skin reaction and progress all the way through and adjust the best combination for you.
During the laser layering treatment, you may feel a little bit warm of the skin when the applicator goes through the areas. Most people find the treatment comfortable and tolerable. To reduce the discomfort, some parts of the treatments may be applied a cooling gel or numbing cream before the treatment.

ClearLift – Overall Skin Rejuvenation and Anti-Ageing treatment
Best known as Laser Facelift, ClearLift laser is one of the most popular Harmony XL Pro treatments. Using the most comprehensive Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser, ClearLift is the first fractional non-ablative Q-Switched laser to treat all signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, uneven skin tone and skin laxity. It is also proven to be used for delicate areas such as eyes, lips and neck and décolletage. With the special patented technology, the energy of ClearLift laser can achieve deeper layers of the skin without breaking the epidermis, producing a thermal effect to boost collagen production and skin healing process, as well as tighten the tissue.
Dye-VL – Advanced Intensive Pulse Light to treat vascular & pigmented lesions precisely
The Dye-VL treatment is an advanced form of intensive pulsed light therapy (IPL) which adopts narrower wavelengths (500-500nm) that targeting at red blood vessels and pigmentation precisely to treat vascular and pigmented lesions. With the AFT technology, the Dye-VL optimise the spectrum to get more significant results, whereby uniform energy with a controlled power can minimise the risk of any adverse effects to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment. Compared with the traditional IPL treatments, Dye-VL with the AFT technology delivers more reliable, safer, and long-lasting results.
Dye-SR – Advanced Intensive Pulse Light for skin pigmentation, uneven skin tone and rejuvenation
Similar to the Dye-VL module, the Dye-SR uses the AFT technology and a narrow band spectrum to treat pigmentation and pigmented lesions. The wavelength of 550-650nm is the optimal wavelength of absorption by melanin. Dye-SR is perfect for removing pigmentations, sun spots, and uneven skin tone. It can also use in darker skin types safely and effectively.
iPixel Laser – Skin Resurfacing with minimal downtime
iPixel laser of Harmony XL Pro is a highly effective fractional ablative laser skin resurfacing treatment. The application of fractional delivery method of the Pixel Er:YAG laser promotes accelerated reepithelization allowing for faster healing and tissue regeneration, which reduces the recovery time and less risk of any side effects. iPixel laser can significantly improve overall skin tone, elasticity and rough texture, smooth out acne scars and other scars, and reduces superficial pigmentation and pore size.
ClearSkin – Acne and Acne treatment for all skin types.
Clear complexion is a sign of healthy skin. However, even when we grow up, some of us still have acne problems. To address the acne and acne scarring, ClearSkin by Harmony XL Pro uses Er:Glass laser with vacuum to treat all types of acne (including blackheads, whiteheads, papules, bustles and nodules) and scarring for all skin types. The non-ablative laser uses heat to penetrate underneath the skin’s surfaces to kill the bacterias, while the vacuum technology reaches deep in the pores to clear any congestion. The energy of the laser also triggers the natural healing process of the dermis, to produce more collagen to prevent and treat any scars. After 4-6 treatments, ClearSkin will leave the skin clear, calm and smooth.

NIR treatment of Harmony XL PRO uses a high-strength light source in the near-infrared spectrum to safely and effectively heat up the sub-dermal, which significantly boost the growth of new collagen and immediately tighten the loose skin. The number of treatments may vary from person to person depending on the desired results and the skin conditions. You can see some improvements from your first treatment. For ideal results, 4-6 treatments are recommended within 3-4 weeks apart. The results build up
Everybody has a different threshold for pain, so you might feel mild discomfort during the treatment, but most people can tolerate this discomfort. The skin will also feel slightly warm and fade away over the hours after the treatment.
Most of skin types are suitable for this treatment.
However, if you suffer from any of the following medical conditions, you are not suitable for this treatment:
- Those who were sunburned, tanned or had extreme exposure to the sun in the 2-4 weeks before the treatment.
- Those who received laser therapy or chemical skin peels in the two weeks before the treatment.
- Those with inflamed or infected skin.
- Those who have taken Isotretinoin in the 6 months before treatment.
- Those with a history of photosensitivity, irregular immune system, skin cancers, etc.
- Pregnant and breast feeding.
- Those with the following conditions: epilepsy, diabetes, coagulopathy, severe heart conditions or high blood pressure.
Depending on the treatment plan, the single treatment requires 45-60 minutes.
After the treatment, there is little to no recovery time needed, and you can resume normal skincare, life and work. After the procedure, your skin may be slightly red and feel warm which usually takes 3-4 hours to go down. However, it really depends on what laser modalities are used in the treatment. Some people may have swelling or light scabbing if there’s iPixel involved in the treatment. This will take about 3-4 days for the flaky skin to go away.
No, the Harmony XL Pro Laser layering targets at different layers of the skin and treat multiple skin concerns. It will trigger collagen production in different depths of the skin without harming the top layer of the skin. It remodels skin layers by tightening the elastic fibres and boosting more collagen and this will thicken the dermis, therefore, the skin becomes stronger, firmer and healthier.
As Laser layering is a non-invasive treatment, those with sensitive skin certainly can undergo this treatment. However, a test patch two weeks before the formal treatment is required to check if you will allergic to the lasers.
– After the treatment, please wear sun protection and avoid any direct exposure to the sun. You should use sunscreen SPF30+ after the treatment. You must avoid sunbathing for at least 4 weeks before and after the treatment.
– 6 hours after the treatment, please avoid washing the face – you may resume as normal the day after the procedure. Please avoid pressing or massaging too hard and using overly hot water when cleansing the face.
– After the treatment, extra moisturising is recommended to add to your skincare as your skin may feel dry after the treatment. Harmony XL Pro Laser Layering increases the skin’s ability to absorb nutrients and the metabolism of the skin will increase. Therefore, the skin may become a little bit dry, you can use moisture or hydration masks after the treatment.
– Avoid using any exfoliating skincare products for two weeks after the treatment.
– Please avoid applying makeup for 24 hours after the treatment.
– For four weeks after the treatment, please avoid any ablative laser treatments, chemical peels, etc.
– For one week after the treatment, please avoid strenuous activity, saunas, swimming or other activity that may raise your body temperature.
